Beyond the Job: Immersion's Influence on Loyalty and Engagement

This study, aims at carrying out an investigation on the effects of job immersion on employee commitment within a governmental organization in Bahrain. In this study, the use of quantitative research, with an oriented questionnaire was conducted to a sample of 269 participants through simple random sampling. In carrying out the analysis, regression methods were used to determine the effect of job immersion on employee loyalty the latter being defined in terms of sense of ownership, willingness to stay, and trust. The outcome shows the distinct positive connection, which means improved career absorption to raise an employee's loyalty ratio. This study demonstrated that job immersion could predict a portion of the loyalty of the employees included in the sample and study population. In addition, with reference to demographic variables including gender, age, qualifications, years of experience and position, there was no difference found in this relationship. The results that have been identified imply that increasing job immersion may be a critical way of raising organizational commitment in the public sector. Due to these findings, the study recommends that other research study be conducted to establish more factors that are reliable in predicting loyalty, and whether such findings can be applied across different sectors and environments.
