Prediction of Emotional Tendency In English Movie Reviews Based on Python

With the development of the economy and society, people’s living standards are getting better and better. At the same time, the pursuit of entertainment is also increasing. For example, movies are one of the entertainment methods pursued by some people. Some people will even watch English original movies from abroad directly. In order to help these English soundtrack movie enthusiasts, choose suitable English movies to watch based on the emotional tendencies of movie reviews, this paper proposes a Python based emotional tendency prediction method for English movie reviews. The method first obtains 20 comment data from the first page of the English movie “The Shawshank Redemption"; Next is the visualization analysis of raw data, which illustrates the key information of the data; Finally, there is the prediction of emotional tendencies, using Python’s machine learning module ecosystem to analyze and predict the movie comments and comment titles. For example, the negative emotional tendency of the first comment of the movie is 0.16, the neutral emotional tendency is 0.574, the positive emotional tendency is 0.267, and the overall score is 0.9932. The final overall emotional prediction is neutral. The above experiments demonstrate that this method performs well in prediction and is feasible for promotion.
