Purposing the Improvement Strategy of Distributing Ornamental Fish Based on SCOR 12.0 and AHP
Ornamental fish is unique and a commodity in the fisheries sector in high demand. The distribution system often has shortcomings that cause physiological stress due to shocks and changes in conditions, water quality, oxygen capacity, temperature, and longer distribution times. Fish mortality is the main obstacle that impacts distributors, and the supply chain performance must be enhanced. Therefore, an assessment is needed to evaluate whether the business meets the required standards. This study aims to determine the value of reliability performance attributes at the distributor. The method used was quantitative. Data was obtained from ornamental fish distributors in Mina Restu Ornamental Fish Market, Banyumas Regency. The data was obtained by conducting observations and interviews, which refers to using the supply chain performance measurement (SCOR) 12.0 and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) approaches. The result shows some underperforming KPIs. This happens because there is a problem with the KPI, such as the make-and-deliver process. The make process is yield, and the deliver process is the percentage of orders delivered in full, damage-free, and defect-free conformance. The improvement for the distributor can be enhanced by implementing good handling practices and improving workforce performance by providing some training to handle the fish. The excellent handling practice can consider internal factors such as packaging conditions and external factors such as weather. The distributor can train the workforce to follow customer requirements and minimize the risk.
