The Role of Sustainable Human Resource Management in Enhancing Organizational Agility (Articles Review)

Organizational agility, the ability to swiftly adapt to internal and external changes, is essential for sustaining long-term success in today's dynamic global environment. Achieving agility requires practices that drive transformation, growth, and innovation, influenced by factors such as globalization, technological change, and competition. Human resource management (HRM) plays a critical role in fostering agility, with Sustainable Human Resource Management (SHRM) practices identified as key to developing a resilient, adaptable workforce. While extensive literature explores the link between organizational agility and its outcomes, research on the intersection of SHRM and agility-especially in the public sector-remains limited. This review synthesizes existing research to examine how HR practices enhance organizational agility and their application in the public sector, emphasizing the importance of sustainability and adaptability in a post-pandemic context. The review also identifies research gaps, particularly regarding the mechanisms through which SHRM contributes to both short-term agility and long-term organizational sustainability.
