Innovative Financial Fraud Detection: Combining GCRNN and DiffPool with N-Way K-Shot Classification Techniques

Anomaly detection systems are important for identifying malicious activities in network traffic, yet they are met with challenges like precision imbalance, high dimensionality, and feature correlation on different datasets like the Synthetic Financial Datasets for Fraud Detection. The paper addresses this by presenting robust anomaly detection via a hybrid model based on GCRNN, DiffPool, and Prototypical Networks. GCRNN successfully captures the spatial and temporal-based dependencies in dynamic graphs, thus enhancing the model's foreseeability for anomaly uncovering. Meanwhile, DiffPool does the habituation according to the finding of the hierarchical setting available for establishing multi-level graph representation. Furthermore, the Prototypical Network, successfully through its learning, counteracts the tremendous validity and false void through analysis processes for both fraudulent and non-fraudulent transactions. The proposed model was evaluated rigorously on financial transaction datasets for fraud detection, which resulted in an impressive accuracy figure of 98.5%. Its other success indicators include precision: 98%, recall: 97%, and AUC-ROC score of 0.99, which give a reliable idea that the model could serve as an invaluable tool for separating fraudulent from legitimate transactions. With these results, the model shows promise as a strong contender for anomaly detection in many applications in dynamic graph data.
