Modulation of Converter Multiphase Matrix for Wind Energy Systems using a Hybrid Mud Ring Algorithm Integrated with the Elk Herd Optimizer
Among the cleanest renewable energy sources that significantly lower carbon emissions is a system for producing wind energy (WEGS). Wind turbine (WT) -driven induction-generators with electricity are linked to the grid via power converters to provide the necessary frequency and voltage. For this reason, multiphase matrix converters (MPMC) and MP induction generators (MPIG) are being researched due to their benefits, which include higher torque density, , and lower current, increased fault tolerance per phase requirements. To integrate with the three-phase grid, MP motors can be utilized in conjunction with MPMCs. This study examines how MPMC modulate when used with six-phase (VI-P) machinery. Utilising a 3-phase (III-P) to six-phase MC modulation with a VI-P for III-P MC, it will be feasible to connect a VI-P induction machine to a III-P grid. One of its unique characteristics is the VI-to-III configuration's unison voltage transfer proportion, for which the modulation functions will be displayed. Furthermore, Hybrid Mud ring algorithm integrate Elk herd optimizer (MRA-EHO) technique will be used to create the best modulation functions for three to six MCs. The simulation is done in MATLAB. The controlled THD obtained using the MRA-EHO algorithm is 2.2%, less than the prevailing algorithms.
