Blockchain Based e-Healthcare Data Sharing Framework

Digitization is impacting the lifestyle of a common man. Data is driving this digital world and hence everyone connected to internet has become the data generator rather than just data user. Our objective is to analyze the utilization of digitization and its impact on privacy and security sensitive data. For this purpose healthcare data management systems or simply called as healthcare systems is chosen as a use case. The healthcare sector is one of the most important sectors in building healthy nation and so the healthcare data is not only privacy concern of individual but security of the nation as well. With this objective in mind, exploring the state-of-the-art of technological development for digitization in healthcare systems, healthcare data management and associated privacy and security is focused. The technologies like e-commerce, cloud computing, IoT and sensor technology and blockchain technology in healthcare systems are considered for literature survey. Findings are presented in the form of open challenges and opportunities in the healthcare systems and its utilization in allied domains like clinical and medical research, e-health governance, statistical analysis and prediction of unforeseen diseases and so on. Based on the gaps identified, paper proposes a high level design of secure data sharing framework. Paper concludes with a discussion on identified research gaps, related research challenges and proposed framework for handling privacy and security of sensitive data.

Based on the gaps identified, paper proposes a high level design of secure data sharing framework. Paper concludes with a discussion on identified research gaps, related research challenges and proposed framework for handling privacy and security of sensitive data.
