Research on the 3D Reconstruction Method of Structural Landforms by Combining Airborne LiDAR and Photogrammetry

In this paper, a 3D reconstruction method of structural landforms based on airborne light laser detection and ranging (LIDAR) and photogrammetry technology is studied. Aiming at the limitation of traditional single data source in 3D reconstruction, this study combines these two technologies to improve the accuracy and detail expression of 3D landform model. Firstly, this study introduces the basic principles of airborne LiDAR and photogrammetry technology and their application status in 3D reconstruction of landforms. Then, the methods of data acquisition, preprocessing, filtering and geomorphic feature extraction are described in detail. In the data registration stage, the method based on feature point matching is used to align airborne LiDAR data with photogrammetry data to ensure the consistency of spatial position. In the data fusion stage, a more accurate and informative 3D landform model is generated by combining the elevation information of airborne LiDAR data and the texture information of photogrammetry data. The experiment selects the Dongdian Hou Fault on the Shandong Peninsula as an example for the study area. Through comparative analysis, compared with the traditional 3D reconstruction method with a single data source, this research method has improved in model accuracy, terrain complexity accuracy, building density accuracy, model detail richness and texture authenticity. The experimental results show that the 3D reconstruction method combining airborne LiDAR and photogrammetry data can significantly improve the accuracy and visual effect of 3D landform model, which provides a new idea and method for 3D reconstruction research in the field of geographic information technology.
