The Impact of Smart Irrigation on Agricultural Productivity: A Study of Farmer Adoption and Challenges

Experiences of farmers integrating IoT devices and smart irrigation systems into their farming operations, or who are thinking about doing so. A thorough survey that examined the reasons behind, advantages of, and difficulties with adopting these technologies was given to a sample of farmers from different locations. According to the findings, farmers view IoT devices and smart irrigation systems as useful instruments for increasing agricultural yields and resources efficiency, but they also face a number of obstacles, such as expensive upfront expenses, complicated technical requirements, and restricted access to technology. The report emphasizes how important it is for governments, tech companies, and agricultural extension agencies to deal with these issues and establish favourable conditions for the broad use of IoT devices and smart irrigation systems in agriculture.
