Psychology of Visual Communication in AI-Based Decision Aid Tools for Engineering Applications

This paper explores the interaction of psychology and visual communication with AI-powered decision-making tools in engineering applications. The study aims to suggest the potential to increase the usability and effectiveness of AI technologies in decision-making processes by integrating cognitive psychology ideas with visual communication strategies. There is potential to reduce cognitive load and facilitate user interaction with complex data through the effective use of visual aspects such as shape, color, and arrangement within a thoughtful design. The study also confirms that interfaces that are designed based on dimensions related to user experience contribute better to reducing cognitive load and facilitating user interaction with complex data, which leads to building trust and allowing for faster and more accurate decisions. The results indicate that effective visual communication has a significant impact on the interpretability and usability of AI-driven decisions, especially in high-stakes engineering scenarios. This study provides a vision for creating visual interfaces that enhance the user experience in addition to shedding light on important psychological factors that influence decision-making. This paper concludes that AI technologies that include well-thought-out visual communication elements will lead to more reliable and effective engineering outcomes.
