Power System Reliability Analysis for Demand Response in Electricity Market Environments
With the deepening of China’s power market reform and the rapid growth of the national economy, the shortage of power resources needs to be solved urgently, and the requirements for the reliability of the power system are getting higher and higher. Demand response can encourage users to change their electricity consumption behaviour through price or incentives, and cooperate with the power supply side to cut peaks and fill valleys, and its role in the electricity market is gradually highlighting. The rational design and effective implementation of demand response programmes bring more benefits to the user side and the power generation side, and are of great significance in improving the safe and reliable operation of the power grid. Therefore, this paper provides an in-depth study of demand response programmes and their impact on system reliability in the context of the electricity market.
