Time Triggered Load Controller using Real Time Clock
In RTC-based load management, energy consumption is controlled by managing output loads with precise timing from a Real-Time Clock (RTC). The purpose of this research is to create a lightning control switch that can be programmed to turn on and OFF based on specific timing conditions. The controller setup include Arduino UNO microcontroller, which receives input from a DS1307 RTC IC and Equipped with a quartz crystal oscillator—typically a 32.768 kHz crystal—an RTC provides superior accuracy and minimal time drift compared to standard internal oscillators and output to an LCD display. In this project, the aim is to conserve energy by managing four specific loads: three single-phase loads (street lights, old house lights, and a lighthouse load) and one agricultural load.
