The Role of Green Logistics Management Approach in Sustaining the Performance of Construction Institutions: Challenges and Proposed Solutions

Currently, the development of the international trading system has led to changes in green production, green distribution, and green marketing systems, which has increased the importance of providing the required goods in the specified quantities at the specified place and time and a low cost., The green logistics approach is based on planning, implementing, and monitoring the efficient and effective flow and storage of all services and information at the lowest cost to meet customer requirements. Therefore, green logistics includes - in essence - the elements of green transportation, green storage, green supply, and green distribution. Adopting sustainable performance of construction and building institutions is crucial in facing global environmental, economic, and social challenges. Hence, adopting sustainable performance of construction and building institutions is a crucial factor in facing global environmental, economic, and social challenges, as sustainability in these institutions depends on the use of innovative technologies that contribute to reducing the environmental impact and aiming to develop sustainable green technology to improve the quality of construction. The shift towards the use of environmentally friendly materials and smart construction technologies enhances the ability to achieve sustainable urban development. Therefore, the current research aimed to systematically analyze the scientific literature related to the application of the green logistics management approach (GLMA) in construction and building institutions in Egypt to achieve sustainable institutional performance in business organizations; it was found that green logistics management has a positive impact on achieving sustainable institutional performance in business organizations. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach to determine the framework to develop the proposed framework to clarify the relationship between green logistics management and the sustainability of institutional performance in business organizations. The analysis of the literature on green logistics and the sustainability of institutional performance in business organizations were also used to answer the central question of the research, which is what is the role of green logistics management in the sustainability of the performance of construction (SPCI) and building institutions in Egypt.
