The Role of AI in Shaping Modern Legal Frameworks: A Political Science Perspective
The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in law has the potential to fundamentally transform legal practice and processes, raising new questions about law, governance, and the delivery of justice, but the integration of AI into the legal system is consistently increased political sensitivity to accountability, transparency, and trust. This review explores the growing role of AI in the legal profession, examining the enabling technologies, social perspectives, potential benefits, and challenges. The study discusses how AI-powered tools are changing the balance of regulatory power, including predictive analytics and natural language processing capabilities Enabling more efficient but socially anxious data analysis and decision-making, sustaining impartiality, ensuring algorithmic transparency and accountability, and protecting client privacy and confidentiality. The paper argues that an updated regulatory framework and a flexible legal framework are needed to address the ethical aspects of AI in law. This study contributes to an ongoing dialogue on the implications of AI for the legal profession, highlighting the need for a nuanced understanding of the technology's impact on the foundations of justice and the pursuit of similar legal systems.
