Cartilhas de alfabetização no Brasil:
The text is a research excerpt that analyzed the themes of publications, from a historical perspective, on literacy primers in Brazilian periodicals between 2000 and 2021. The theoretical foundation is based on cultural history and its possibility of amplifying objects, methods and sources of research, as well as approaches from these sources, opening perspectives for analyzing thought and educational policy, from different perspectives (Burke, 2005; Chartier, 1990). The primers litercy are understood as a historical source/document and as a cultural artifact (Peres and Michel, 2019). This is a bibliometric study on booklets, which points out and systematizes aspects of this field of knowledge such as the most studied themes, chosen booklets, research groups, journals that published the most, authors and methods used. The corpus consists of 59 articles, deposited on Google Scholar and on the Capes Journal Portal, and the data was organized into eight categories, and in this text, only one of them is explored: Production, diffusion, circulation and permanence. This category covers 20.3% of the corpus (12 texts) and was systematized into three subcategories. The results highlight a multiplicity of themes worked on in the analyzed texts and confirm the cultural artifact character of the school booklet source and its potential for the history of literacy.
