Alternativas remotas às práticas de Biologia no Ensino Médio: relato de experiência

In 2020 and 2021, due to the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic, the project with the aim of contributing to teaching science to high school students through in-person practices was adapted to a remote format by the incorporation of digital technologies. The activities (definition, assignment, deadlines) established in the team's weekly meetings resulted in the production, monthly, based on themes from the 2020 and 2021 Tutored Study Programs, of 25 (14+11) videos, 17 (8+9) activity guidelines and 25 (10+15) content assimilation activities; one folder about Covid-19 (2020) and participation in an event at the State Schools of Ouro Preto (2021). The availability of the material on the High School's Facebook® media, website and YouTube® channel of the project revealed low student participation based on the return of the activities. This fact is justified by the unavailability of access to digital tools. In 2020 and 2021, 27 and 97 users visited 304 and 1,422 project’s website pages and the YouTube® project’s channel had between 19-557 and 22-282 access, respectively. There was a preference among users for exclusively practical videos, shorter in duration, and reaching audience beyond the target. The extension actions, even remotely, brought the University closer to the community.
