The Role of Job Autonomy in Enhancing Decision-Making Strategies in Engineering Projects
This study investigates how job autonomy influences decision-making strategies for engineering projects. The study examines how self-directed schedules, decision-making, and work methods can stimulate creative and innovative solutions toward better project performances. Supported by a descriptive-analytical approach, this study analyzes diverse sectors in engineering to determine the influence of employee autonomy on decision-making processes. These findings suggest that, while autonomy may bring huge improvement in the efficiency of projects, even in innovative capability, there is a necessity to address challenges such as resistance to autonomy and misalignment of goals in order to maximize the benefit of job autonomy.
