This study examines the main challenges and strategies for water resource management in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in light of the severe shortage of natural resources and the pressures resulting from climate change and population growth. Based on World Bank analyses and experiences learned from the GCC countries, the study provides an analytical look at the measures taken to achieve water sustainability and water security. The results show the importance of integrating strategies such as desalination, reuse of treated water, and adopting advanced technologies to improve water consumption efficiency (FAO) Water Resources 2021. The study also addresses the urgent need to enhance regional cooperation in the water sector to address crossborder challenges, and provides policy recommendations for developing integrated water resources management. The study highlights the vital role of legislation and policies supporting water conservation initiatives and the optimal use of modern technologies in promoting water sustainability. In conclusion, the study emphasizes that addressing the water crisis requires a comprehensive approach that combines advanced technology, effective management, and wise environmental policies to ensure a sustainable water future for future generations, which reinforces the need to adopt policies to rationalize water consumption and encourage technological innovations in the field of water management 2021 UNDP.
