Design and Implementation of Pin-like Instrumentation Tools for the LoongArch

This paper presents the design and implementation of several instrumentation tools supporting the LoongArch platform, modeled after Intel Pin. Each tool consists of four primary components: main function, analysis function, instrumentation function, and termination function. These tools utilize five distinct levels of API granularity: instruction level, basic block level, trace level, image level, and routine level. Implemented in C++, these tools enable dynamic binary instrumentation, facilitating the comprehensive analysis of instructions, functions, registers, memory access patterns, and control flow. To validate the accuracy and practical utility of these tools, we developed several simple C/C++ programs for validation. Furthermore, our source code has been made publicly accessible on Github for broader evaluation and use.
