The Effects of Badminton Exercise and Feldenkrais Training on Changes of Concentration, Brain Activity Level and Brain Stress in University Students

The purpose of this study is to measure the changes of concentration, brain activity level, and brain stress in male college students who are treated with badminton and Feldenkrais for eight weeks and the results are as follows: The concentration, after eight weeks of treatment, significantly increased by 60.96% in the badminton group( p<.01) and by 16.00% in the Feldenkrais group without statistical significance. The brain activity level, after eight weeks of treatment, significantly increased by 18.29% in the badminton group( p<.05) and by 18.43% in the Feldenkrais group without statistical significance. The brain stress, after eight weeks of treatment, decreased by 4.66% in the badminton group and increased by 4.71% in the Feldenkrais group without statistical significance. These results showed that badminton and Feldenkrais training have a positive effect on male college students by increasing their concentrations and brain activity levels, and, only in badminton training, reducing their brain stress.
