As a result of the development of information technologies, today the world is experiencing a rapid digital transformation in all areas, and virtual environments have invaded our lives. Due to the development of technology and especially virtual media platforms, it is easier than before to make illegal interventions in people's private lives, so the cases of such interventions are increasing day by day. This also stipulates the adaptation of the regulations on the protection of the right to privacy in the virtual space to the requirements of the time. In the article, the prerequisites and rules for protecting the right to privacy in the virtual space, measures to ensure the security of personal data were analyzed, suggestions and recommendations were put forward in this field.
