Analysis on the Job Specification of Software Developers Using SNA
The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze the job specifications of software developers using Social Network Analysis (SNA) to identify the core competencies, preferential conditions, and key skills required in the rapidly evolving technological environment. To achieve this, 2,807 recent job postings were collected from South Korea’s largest job portal, JobKorea. Using the TF-IDF model, we performed weighted analyses, followed by SNA to evaluate the relationships and significance among job specifications.<br/> The results revealed that creativity, integrity, growth orientation, and planning were identified as key competencies for software developers, while experience, major qualifications, and certifications were identified as important preferential conditions. Furthermore, skills such as API, Node.js, HTML, and MariaDB were deemed essential for job performance. This study offers a deeper understanding of software developer job specifications, providing valuable insights for corporate recruitment strategies and individual skill development.
