Python-based development libraries and web applications to process and store data using a JSON representation XML-DCC
Digital Calibration Certificate (DCC) development involves two distinct but critical tasks: data schema definition and technical implementation. This paper focuses on the actual implementation of Python-based libraries and web applications to load, store, export, visualize, and perform uncertainty-aware mathematical operations on measurement data from DCCs. The data handling is done by Python libraries to allow all developers to benefit from these libraries in their own software. We show web applications built with the modules as examples. These web applications provide a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for direct user interaction and a REST API for use by other non-Python software. The following modules are presented. dccXMLJSONConv A module for converting XML DCCs to a JSON representation. dsiUnits A module to parse the D-SI unit representation and perform mathematical operations on the units. dccQuantities A module that wraps around the DDC quantity elements and allows object-oriented manipulation, e.g. fancy indexing, math operations, and loading and sorting of the physical quantities stored in the DCC. A web interface to visualize the data and export the tabular data to other formats is also included. The web applications are deployed as Docker containers.
