Effectiveness of Tele-Cognitive Training for the Elderly with C ognitive D ecline: A C ase Study

Objective : This study aims to investigate the effects of tele-cognitive training on cognitive functions of older adults with cognitive decline. Methods : This study is a case study of two elderly individuals using a senior welfare center located in City D. After conducting a total of 20 sessions of tele-cognitive training, the effects of the training were evaluated by comparing the scores from pre-test, post-test, and follow-up test using MMSE-K, CERAD-K. Results : In the case of Subject 1, the MMSE-K score improved in the post-test but declined in the follow-up test. The CERAD-K score improved in the post-test and was maintained in the follow-up test. For Subject 2, the MMSE-K score improved in the post-test and was maintained in the follow-up test. The CERAD-K score improved in both the post-test and the follow-up test. Conclusion : Tele-cognitive training for older adults with cognitive decline has been shown to be effective in improving cognitive function, and the improved cognitive function was maintained even after the intervention. It is hoped that this study will serve as a basis for the application of tele-cognitive training.
