The effect of cause that appear during aerobic exercise on the mobility ability of the elderly

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between factors that appear during aerobic exercise and mobility in 83 elderly women. Measurement items were DPBP expression time, V̇O₂max, and mobility. As a result, DPBP and mobility significantly decreased with age, and significant correlations were found between DPBP and 6-minute walking( r=.285, p<.05), V̇O₂max and mobility(general walking, r=.350, p<.05; fast walking, r=.460, p<.05; 6-minute walking, r=.510, p<.001) in the 60-year-old group. The results of this study suggest that there is a possibility that the decrease in aerobic physical ability as age increases is closely related to the decrease in mobility, and that the elderly's mobility can be improved through aerobic training.
