The Effect of Electrochemical Corrosion on The Destruction of Metal Fastening Elements of Portal Type Supports

The results of experimental studies of the degree of influence of soil aggressiveness on the occurrence of electrochemical corrosion in metal elements of fastening of portal-type supports are presented. The research is aimed at studying the design features of the supports of the portal type of overhead power lines 220-500 kV. To increase the reliability of operation of overhead power lines, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the support attachment points located underground. The analysis of the physico-chemical properties of the soil, which have an aggressive effect on the metal elements of the supports, is carried out. A method for the primary assessment of soil aggressiveness, taking into account additional properties, is proposed. Recommendations for further research are given.
