The issues of understanding the aesthetic component in the works of the art industry are an urgent area of modern art criticism research. This article is devoted to the work of art councils at factories of decorative and applied arts as a system linking the art space and production. The research material is archival information about the work of the Art Council at the Combine of Decorative and Applied Arts of the Leningrad Branch of the USSR Art Fund.
