BYZANTINE ORNAMENT IN MURAL PAINTING OF CAVE TEMPLES OF MOUNTAINOUS SOUTHWESTERN TAURICA OF THE 13TH-15TH CENTURIES
The article analyses and systematises ornamental motifs in the decoration of cave temples in mountainous southwestern Taurica. As a result of analytical work with materials from archaeological research of the early 20th century and modern field research, artistic connections between southwestern Taurica and various regions of the Byzantine Empire of the 13th-14th centuries are discovered.
