CONVERGENCE OF DIFFERENCES. A SERIES OF PAINTINGS “SHRIMP” BY QI BAISHI
Using the example of a number of paintings by Qi Baishi, including paintings from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum, the creative path of the master and the development of the genre system in his work are presented. It is shown how, during the five stages of the artist’s creative path, his individual artistic creative style was formed and images changed, reflecting both live direct observation and deep Taoist meditation practice.
