Plasma‐Induced Thiol‐Ene Click Reaction for the Preparation of High‐Stability Perovskite Nanoplatelets

ABSTRACT Perovskite nanoplatelets (NPLs) have garnered significant attention, however, their low resistance to light, heat, oxygen, and water has been recognized as a major barrier to practical applications. In this study, we developed cross‐linked NPL materials through an argon plasma‐induced thiol‐ene chemistry strategy. This was achieved by inducing a thiol‐ene click reaction between surface ligands containing carbon–carbon double bonds and the cross‐linker pentaerythritol tetrakis (3‐mercaptopropionate) (PTMP) via plasma irradiation. The results demonstrate that argon plasma irradiation can initiate the thiol‐ene click reaction, while also causing the carbon–carbon double bonds in the ligand to undergo cross‐linking. The polymerization of the ligands leads to the encapsulation of the NPLs within the polymer matrix, allowing for excellent stability performance.
