Mapp3D: Real-time 3D Mapping and Geolocation Tracking using IOT devices
The research focuses on the integration of GPS sensors and IoT devices to create a real-time 3D mapping and geolocation tracking system. Using ESP8266 and Arduino IoT Cloud, the system enables communication between the GPS sensor and a server with Real-Time Tracking. The user-friendly dashboard allows dynamic visualisation and interaction with the map, with each button press triggering the acquisition and storage of real-time coordinates in JSON format, updating the graphical map representation. The solution is effective as it can give an exact data on a timely basis about where things are. It also supports activities like updating the node information, including edges, finding the shortest path using the A* algorithm, and displaying 3D graphs. Using Haversine and Pythagoras theorems means that the distances are calculated between the nodes with high accuracy. This research shows how IoT can be applied in real-life scenarios and has come up with a strong system that can make 3D maps as well as track the location of these maps using a simple design.
