Unlocking the Future of Digital Economy: Harnessing Malaysia’s Dual 5G to Bridge the Digital Divide
The goal of this study is to use the complementary strengths of Chinese and European 5G standards to advance Malaysia into the forefront of the digital economy by examining the strategic deployment of dual 5G technology. The research involves a comprehensive analysis of the current telecommunications infrastructure, global standards, and regulatory frameworks. Subsequently, a detailed plan for implementing a dual 5G network is outlined, envisioning the achievement of ubiquitous computing across Malaysia. The study underscores the critical need for a stable security framework, interoperability standards, and harmonized spectrum distribution, while also identifying potential opportunities and challenges. A multi-phased implementation plan, ranging from infrastructure evaluation to full-scale network deployment, is presented. Emphasizing the significance of international cooperation and stakeholder participation, the study contends that the effective deployment of dual 5G technology has the potential to bridge the digital divide, stimulate innovation, drive economic expansion, and elevate the standard of living. The conclusion suggests that Malaysia’s pursuit of dual 5G technology represents a crucial initial stride toward cultivating an inclusive and resilient digital future.
