A Framework for GenAI-Empowered Curriculum and Learning Resources: A Case Study from an Australian Higher Education

The Australian higher education is one of the top industries generating revenue for Australian government. Like other industries, education sector is changing rapidly driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI). This research paper investigates the development of AI-powered curriculum and learning materials in Australian higher education systems. This paper analyses some of the benefit and challenges. It explores some of the benefits such as, personalization of learning experience using AI, supporting the individual learning styles and improving the learning outcome. Furthermore, the paper also analyses some of the challenges associated with developing and implementing AI in educational settings. Some of the major challenges such as data privacy, bias in algorithms, and the role of human educators examined in detail. The research explores on addressing these challenges and way to use AI in ethical and effective manner. This paper provides a comprehensive understanding of the current state of AI-empowered curriculum development in Australia. Finally, a framework proposed for GenAI-empowered curriculum and learning resources for educational institute. This research provides valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and edtech developers in order to integrate AI into the future of the Australian higher education.
