Frequency Quadrupler Based High-Frequency Vector Signal Generator Using Digital Predistortion
As the need for higher data rates and throughput is increasing, there is a need to have highly efficient circuits with high efficiency. There is a need to explore techniques for achieving a range of zero-IF or low-IF signals to high-frequency ranges. Established frequency-up-conversion techniques inherently use nonlinear circuits, where output contains high distortion and harmonic content. The presented approach demonstrates higher Adjacent Channel Power Ratio (ACPR) improvements over state of art techniques for frequency quadrupler. This paper illustrates from algorithmic approach till hardware implementation of the proposed model highlighting improvement (based on measured results) in ACPR without increasing the complexity of the systems.
