Pioneer Design of a Single-band U-slotted Patch Antenna Tailored for Enhanced Performance in WiMAX and WLAN Environments

This work investigates designing, enhancing, and simulating a modified U-slot microstrip patch antenna optimized for WiMAX and WLAN applications. The antenna operates within the frequency bands of 2.57 to 2.69 GHz and 3.3 to 3.6 GHz. The antenna utilizes A radiation patch, which is located on a PTEE substrate with a relative permittivity of 2.2 and a loss tangent of 0.0009; the substrate also has a loss tangent. Computer simulations reveal that the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) for WLAN standards is below two across the 2.57-2.69 GHz range when the signal is fed through a coaxial route with an impedance of 50 ohms at 2.69 GHz. The peak gain of the antenna is 6.15 dB while operating at a frequency of 2.59 GHz.
