Research on Multi-Focal Plane Imaging Systems Achieved Through Optical Component Arrays

In order to restore the information of the real world more naturally and realistically, 3D display technology has become a hot research topic. This paper focuses on the design and fabrication of high resistance liquid crystal microlens array, aiming to improve the performance of integrated imaging 3D display through the characteristics of high resistance liquid crystal microlens array with adjustable focal length. Fabrication of High Resistivity Liquid Crystal Microlens Array. The planar Al electrode with hollowed hole array was prepared by magnetron sputtering and photolithography, and a layer of AZO transparent film was deposited on its surface as a high resistance layer. The prepared driving electrode substrate and common electrode ITO substrate were assembled into a liquid crystal lens by liquid crystal box forming process. The electrode was characterized by optical microscopy and step profilometer, and the results show that the Al driving electrode has a hole spacing of 345.6 μm, a hole diameter of 300 μm, an Al film thickness of 130 nm, and a liquid crystal cell thickness of 45 μm. The focal length of the high resistance liquid crystal microlens array is electrically controlled to realize 3D image display at different depths, and the integrated imaging 3D display performance is improved.
