A Trapezoidal Slot Cross Shaped Dual Band Antenna for WBAN Biomedical Applications
A compact triple band trapezoid slot based microstrip antenna is proposed in this letter. This antenna is applicable for WBAN along with ISM, WLAN and WiMAX bands for biomedical applications. It composed of cross shaped feedline, a substrate and a ground structure on which trapezoid shape slots are developed. The simulated results show that proposed antenna can resonate in dual frequency bands with impedance bandwidth of 1.25 GHz (3.52-2.27 GHz) at 2.45 GHz and 1.43 GHz (6.13-4.7 GHz) at 5.3 GHz respectively. The proposed antenna can be useful in military operation for health monitoring.
