Analysis of Diamond-shaped Sierpinski Gasket (DSSG) fractal antenna for 5G wireless applications

This article presents an improved miniature microstrip antenna using Sierpinski gasket models that offers multiband performance. The HFSS simulator has been used to do an iterative analysis of the Diamond-shaped Sierpinski gasket (DSSG) compact fractal antenna to improve its performance across multiple frequencies. The central frequencies at which this antenna resonates are 4.56 GHz, 7.18 GHz, 12.13 GHz, 13.50 GHz, 15.56 GHz, 17.35 GHz, 21.61 GHz and 27.11 GHz, in this sequence. In which 18 to 30 GHz wideband antenna with approximately 8 dBi gain is achieved. The novel miniaturized antenna functions well in the C band, Ku, and K bands, and allows multiband frequency operation. The simulated outcome demonstrates how much better the suggested design works than traditional methods.
