Methodology of Construction of Heuristic Algorithm for Optimization of Electrical Engineering Complexes
There are two main approaches to the optimization of electrical engineering complexes (EEC) - optimization of EEC by implementing specialized control systems and by selective choice of EEC components. As an example of an optimization object, a multi-motor electric drive - one of the most important EEC in the machine-building industry - is considered. The main problem of operation of the multi-motor electric drive is described, which consists in non-uniform distribution of loads between induction motors in the multi-motor electric drive. This problem can be solved using either of the two approaches to EEC optimization, however, the selective approach is more economical because there is no need for additional power equipment. In this connection, the problem of EEC optimization of multi-motor electric drives on the basis of selective approach is formulated. This leads to the necessity of constructing a problem-oriented heuristic optimization algorithm. It is shown that the problem of searching for the global optimum when optimizing the composition of multi-motor electric drives leads to the class of NP-complete problems. On the given example it is shown that the method of complete enumeration has more than 8.10558 variants of solutions, the calculation of which will require unreasonably large resource of time. The basic principles of construction of heuristic algorithm of EEC optimization are proposed, as applied to multi-motor electric drives, allowing to reduce the requirements to time resources expenditures.
