The Simulation Study of New Buildings Effect on VOR Signal
As an important part of civil aviation flight, the safe operation of omnidirectional ranges plays an important role in the safe operation of aircraft. However, with the rapid development of the aviation industry in recent years, the new buildings in airports are gradually increasing, which poses a certain threat to the safe operation of airport navigation equipment. Therefore, in order to investigate whether the new buildings will have an impact on the omnidirectional range, the article simulates and analyzes the impact of the buildings on the omnidirectional range signals on the basis of modeling the Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) by using the electromagnetic simulation software CST Studio Suite (CST), and gives suggestions for improvement and optimization.
