Features of substantiation of the boundaries of sanitary protection zones of industrial enterprises in the conditions of the current development

The sanitary protection zone (SPZ) is a protective barrier that ensures the safety of the population during the operation of an industrial facility in normal mode. A separate problem is the design of sanitary protection zones in the conditions of already existing buildings. The purpose of the study is to use the example of the project of the sanitary protection zone of an industrial enterprise to identify the features of the justification of its boundaries in the conditions of the current development and formulate management decisions to reduce the negative impact of harmful factors of production on the population. It was established that residential buildings were located in the previously established sanitary protection zone of the industrial enterprise. The reason for the situation was the lack of data on the boundaries of the SPZ in the cadastral maps of the Federal Register. To solve the problem, measures were taken to re-equip the facility, aimed at reducing the negative impact on the population of the adjacent territory, followed by the development of a project to change the previously established SPZ. To substantiate changes in the boundaries of the SPZ, a calculation method was used and studies of concentrations of chemicals in the atmospheric air, as well as measurements of the levels of physical and biological effects behind the contour of the enterprise, were carried out. The absence of excess hygienic standards allowed to reduce the SPZ of an industrial facility. It is proposed to increase the level of interdepartmental interaction, including on the issue of displaying information about the established boundaries of the SPZ on the cadastral map of the Federal Register of Federal Registration Services to exclude the unregulated use of SPZ industrial facilities.
