An Efficient Video Authentication Method Based on Least Significant Bit Replacement
Video authentication is crucial for verifying the integrity and authenticity of multimedia content in various applications, including security surveillance, digital forensics, and media distribution. In this paper, present a novel video authentication method based on the Least Significant Bit (LSB) replacement technique. This approach involves embedding authentication data into the LSB of video frames, leveraging the minimal perceptual impact of LSB modifications to maintain high video quality. We systematically analyze the performance of our method using multiple video datasets, evaluating metrics such as Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Mean Square Error (MSE). The experimental results demonstrate that our LSB replacement-based video authentication method achieves high fidelity with Video2 showing the highest PSNR at 66.456, followed by Video3 at 59.082, and Video1 at 57.1952 and minimal distortion, ensuring robust and reliable authentication while maintaining the visual quality of the video content. Furthermore, the proposed method exhibits efficient embedding times.
