A Survey of Machine Learning and Deep Learning Techniques for Classifying Dermatoscopic Images for Skin Cancer Prediction
One of the most common and deadly types of cancer is skin cancer. It is becoming increasingly common in today’s environment as a result of our regular exposure to hazardous chemicals and radiation. Its early identification is vital given the rapid increase in human population. Many images processing methods, including those based on deep learning and machine learning, have been developed for the automated identification of skin cancer. The study offers an overview of several methods for categorizing dermatoscopic images that are employed in research. The methods are summed up in the study according to the classifier and feature sets that were employed. Tables have been used to present the results of a selection of high-quality publications for simple analysis and comprehension.
