CLINICAL MYTHS WITH THE LOWER SEGMENT

Many ideas about the lower segment (NS) turned out to be erroneous. The boundaries of the NS, the relationship of the contractile ring with the degree of cervical dilation, the pathogenesis of placental migration, hematometer in the early postpartum period after childbirth through the natural birth canal, preventive administration of antispasmodics and pressure on the NS in the second period of labor, the formation of "cracks" of the NS require revision in the theoretical context and in terms of medical care.
