Business problems in the conditions of war

Introduction. War is a complex phenomenon that is determined by many elements of public policy, including political, social, historical and, of course, economic. Supporting and rebuilding domestic enterprises is important because they make up a significant part of the country's economy, which in turn provides the resources needed to fight the war. Without a strong economy, it is impossible to provide the army with weapons, ammunition, food and other necessary resources. The purpose of the paper is to investigate how the hostilities and destruction have affected the continuity of production, supply chains and product quality. Determine the extent of damage to production facilities, infrastructure and equipment. Determine how quickly and efficiently enterprises can rebuild their production lines and switch to new products. Identify the key factors that facilitate or impede the resumption of production and development of enterprises. Results. Due to the war, many businesses were unable to withstand the economic hardships and were forced to shut down. Even a year and a half after the introduction of martial law, most of them have not yet resumed their operations in full. Ukrainian businesses faced such challenges as instability as the war makes it difficult to predict future economic development, the shrinking domestic market and reduced purchasing power led to a significant reduction in demand for goods and services. The operations of businesses were also affected by risks associated with government policies, limited access to finance and a shortage of skilled personnel due to people leaving the country and mobilization. Conclusion. The main task of the state is to develop a strategy for post-war recovery and development of Ukraine. The strategic plan of reasonable actions developed by the state should optimize processes within the country and establish cooperation at each level. Of particular importance is risk management to minimize and prevent the consequences of their impact on the optimal functioning of the enterprise. Ukraine's reconstruction will be carried out both with domestic resources and with the involvement of foreign investment.
