A Research on Constructing a Digital Economy Evaluation System Based on VIF-GPCA
The digital economy has emerged as a key force reshaping the global competitive landscape. Establishing a scientific evaluation index system to measure the level of digital economic development is of great significance for conducting digital economic accounting. This paper, based on the technology-economic paradigm theory, employs literature review and metric selection to identify high-frequency evaluation indicators for the digital economy. Using panel data from 11 provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Belt spanning from 2012 to 2019 as an example, the paper constructs the complete set of indicators, filters key indicators, and conducts indicator testing to output the final evaluation index system. The aim is to address the issue of the lack of quantitative standards for determining the index system and provide a basis for further digital economic accounting work.
