Purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region: overview aspects of the clinic, immunology, microbiology and diagnosis in treatment planning
The difficulty of diagnosing purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region is associated with the complexity of anatomical access, atypical course of inflammation against the background of immunodeficiency states, changes in the composition of the microflora of the inflammation focus, this is determined by the need for further study and development of new methods for predicting the nature of the course of the disease to improve the effectiveness of treatment. Existing diagnostic methods, including clinical ones, do not always allow adequate monitoring of the pathological process, which does not give the doctor timely, effective correction of the patient’s treatment. The review describes the modern principles of laboratory diagnostics of purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region. The issue of the need for modern microbiological methods and diagnostic measures to combat this disease is raised.
