Oxygen dependence in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease due to viral pneumonia associated with the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in a medical worker
Interstitial lung diseases (IZL) — a group of nosologies that unites many diffuse parenchymal lung pathologies, which in their outcome can lead to the development of fibrosis. The course of all variants of ISL can be complicated by the development of infectious exacerbations; more often it occurs in chronic fibrotic forms. Currently, there is limited data on the course of COVID-19 in patients with progressive interstitial lung diseases. A case of COVID-19 infection in a patient suffering from interstitial pneumonia with autoimmune signs and progressive pulmonary fibrosis is presented in a clinical observation. The features of the disease in this group of patients are discussed, as well as directions for further research.
