Petrochemical Plant Turnaround Study Case: Planning, Executing, Findings and Lessons Learned
This document provides a case study of a Petrochemical Plant Turnaround. The power distribution aspects in planning a preventive maintenance outage includes the definition of critical loads, generator usage plan, communication with parts involved, switching plan, training of crew, affected personnel and third parties. In addition, it shows how the execution stage occurred: work permits, area isolation, switching, protecting energized panels against mistakes, the findings that need to be fixed before re-energization, and notes for future turnarounds. It also shows lessons learned from the whole process.
