Solar Powered EV Charging Electric Farm Vehicles for Sustainable Agriculture Areas
In agricultural environments, electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming more and more important, especially for tractors, as a means of reducing the environmental effects and running costs of conventional diesel-powered systems. The proposed system introduces solar-powered charging stations designed specifically for farm equipment, addressing the drawbacks of relying too much on fossil fuels. The innovative approach makes use of solar energy that is renewable to improve sustainability, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and maximize operational effectiveness. Its feasibility is demonstrated by in-depth evaluations of solar potential, system design, incorporation of intelligent energy management, and practical testing. Solar-powered EV charging is positioned as a game-changing solution for sustainable agriculture by comparison analyses that show superior energy efficiency, with the proposed system achieving 4.0 km/kWh compared to 2.5 km/kWh of existing systems, significant cost savings (${\$}$6,500 annually vs. ${\$}$12,000), and significant reductions in environmental pollutants (3,000 kg CO2 emissions annually vs. 15,000 kg).
